The Art of Ageing

Kerri Ambler, Tayla Martin, Tina Milson, Julie Slavin, Tim White

29 mar. — 11 may 2019

This exhibition presents the work of five photographers, each from a regional city in New South Wales, exploring, turning and flipping the idea of seniority. The individual vitality of each subject is emphasized through the photographic lens, expressing a truly vivacious existence. An undeniable tendency of the human condition – to craft and develop a deep sense of identity – is revealed in the stories of connection through objects, experiences, passions and projects. The Gallery is pleased to present this exhibition, which features five portraits by local photographer Tina Milson. The Art of Ageing will be shown alongside Milson’s first solo exhibition at the Gallery. The Art of Ageing is a photographic exhibition that celebrates the value, experience and contribution older people bring, and challenges out-dated perceptions of ageing.
