Marilou Chagnaud is a French artist based in Canberra. Working across printmaking, sculpture, and site-responsive installations, Chagnaud is interested in how abstract patterns and repetition can create dynamic experiences that impact our sense of space. Her recent work pushes the boundaries of paper to explore its sculptural potential through folding, stacking, and hanging.

Chagnaud graduated with a Master of Art from the Ecole Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence in 2008 and went on to complete a Diploma of Textile Design in Montréal in 2015. She has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions including Contour 556 (2020), ANCA Gallery (2020),

Canberra Museum and Gallery (2018) and Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre (2018). She was a finalist of the 2020 National Works On Paper at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
