Goulburn Regional Art Gallery is continuing its partnership project with the Goulburn Correctional Centre, funded by ArtsNSW Strategic Partnership funding. This year Alana Valentine, a multi-award-winning playwright, and Alison Murphy Oates, will be working with Aboriginal inmates and their children to write a stage play based on their stories and life experiences. The project will run throughout 2012, with an exhibition of the installation the Gallery in October 2012 and the stage play performed in Goulburn’s 150th birthday year at the Lieder Theatre, Goulburn in 2013.
