Come together at Goulburn Regional Art Gallery and celebrate the launch of our latest exhibitions.

Horizons is a compelling group exhibition featuring the work of nine artists investigating the intricate relationships between the human body, the natural environment, and the constructed world. The exhibition showcases diverse media—including ceramics, audio-visual works, photography, painting, and installation—by artists Gemma Brown, Rowan Conroy, Marian Drew, Lizzie Hall, Bianca Hester, Janet Laurence, Guido Maestri, Mandy Quadrio, and Isadora Vaughan. The impactful works featured in Horizons look at human intervention in the natural world in order to consider historic moments of destruction, contend with our present, and posit possible futures.

In Gallery 2, emerging artist Jackson Taylor presents the exhibition Since We've Met, a new body of work featuring intimate, faux-naïve figurative paintings. Through the lens of genre painting, Taylor captures universally resonant moments within romantic relationships—such as a winding car ride, a slow morning, or a quiet afternoon with friends. His work invites viewers into scenes rendered with emotional nuance. Taylor was awarded this opportunity through the Australian National University's School of Art and Design's 2024 Graduate Exhibition, where the Gallery selected an outstanding graduate to exhibit a new body of work.

With artworks that traverse both intricate detail and expansive vision, these exhibitions promise something for every viewer to experience and enjoy.
