Following the exploration into the use of the elements of art in term 1, in this coming 9 week term the class will further investigate how the elements are used by artists to create artwork. The principles of art explain the combination of elements and how they interact within a work of art. The seven principles of art will be covered: movement, unity, contrast, balance, rhythm, emphasis, pattern and proportion. Various art making practices will be considered including drawing, printmaking, photography and video.

The Gallery Peer Support Program invites students of the High School Afternoon Art Club to work with the Primary Afternoon Art Club on a voluntary basis. Contact Sally for more info.
