Ben Quilty

 

Quilty is a practicing artist and Sydney College of the Arts graduate. Since 2000 he has held 17 solo exhibitions and been involved in more than 70 group exhibitions. His work is held in numerous institutional collections including the MCA, The Art Gallery of South Australia and The Art Gallery of New South Wales. Quilty has completed residencies in Paris at the International Cite des Arts, St Vincents Hospital Melbourne, Artspace in Woollomooloo, Murray’s Cottage at Hill End and the Australia Council for the Arts studio in Barcelona.
 

Quilty’s work investigates the bizarre and dangerous coming of age rituals of young men in Australian culture.
