Goulburn Regional Art Gallery

Building a bridge over Sydney Harbour required an incredible level of engineering. The fascination with this and the changing landscape offered an irresistible subject to artists of the time. This is an exhibition of three works on loan from the Art Gallery of New South Wales by Grace Cossington Smith, Roland Wakelin and Margaret Preston who were all moved to depict the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Showing alongside Henri Mallard's photographic documentary, it offers an alternate look at this big change to Sydney.
